Once the sunlight is here, the shadow quickly looms overhead.

Darkness, not the kind within oneself or around oneself,

but on oneself.

The kind we will not wash off or run away from.

We iz born dark.

but I call it gold,

others may call it terracotta,

rusty orange,

incomparable dark navy blue.

Many are baked in the sun,

caked in the sun.
